In the 19th century, a serial killer begins murdering victims using methods from Edgar Allan Poe's stories. Poe himself teams up with a young Baltimore detective to get inside the murder's mind and try and stop more of his fictional works becoming grizzly fact. I enjoyed this movie. It had some twists and I liked how Poe stories were played into the actual mystery within the movie. It is definitely worth watching.

This one was just OK for me. I figured it to be more along the lines of Sherlock Holmes installments but it fell short and did not hold my interest very long. I guess I would have had to read Poe to understand most of the movie but it was not worth my time to do so. Wished that I had skipped... more
