Filming begins, but there's no spark - Monty's a terrible director, Reg is stiff, and Chris's skills as a leading man leave the crew laughing. Plus the tension between Chris and Priya has them both on edge. Meanwhile, Lalima, who could have been the leading lady, has her own issues about making it to Hollywood and finding herself. Chris figures out how to solve the Monty problem, and it will be up to Priya to sort out how to make Chris a success on celluloid. How will she do it, and how will Chris react?

Except for financing and a leading lady, everything is in place for filming "Peculiar Dancing Boy," with Chris in the role of leading man. Monty and Reg Hunt, an aging British actor, search for money in Mumbai while Chris and Priya journey to a distant ashram to convince Kunti Kumar, once India's biggest star, to leave her life of contemplation and return to starring in movies. Chris tries one pitch that gets him into trouble with Priya, and Kunti has another interest.

Chris is a comedian in Hollywood with plenty of work, but he dreams of being the romantic lead in a big film. Monty, a first-time director from India, invites Chris to Mumbai to star in a film written by Monty's deceased father, a filmmaker with a faded reputation. Lalima, the female lead and a big Bollywood star, refuses to work with Chris because he can't dance, so an unlikely tutor takes on the chore of teaching him. At a club, the newly-confident Chris challenges Lalima to dance with him. Will it be fireworks or an international disaster? And, if Lalima refuses to be in the film, what will Monty and his sister Priya, the film's producer, do?
